Book Reveiw

Grandpa's Great Escape
I have been reading a book called Grandpa's Great Escape. It is written by David Walliams. David Walliams is a wonderful and hilarious author. In the book a boy called Jack has a Grandpa that has a condition so he thinks he is still in World War 2. He had been sent to an old folks home because of the condition. The old folks home is called Twilight Towers. The nures in Twilight Towers are boys and are mean bulky. The Head person is called Miss Swine. She is evil and has an electric cattle prod that is used for giving old folk a shock that can knock them cold out in just a second! He is trying to make a daring escape from what I call death home. He ends up making a hole in the roof and bringing all the elderly people out of the hole and down to the ground on a chain of ladies nickers! Try reading this series. I bet you would be interested in them!

  1. Hi Issy!
Wow this book sounds hilarious! It certainly sounds like something David Walliams would write! Isn't he imaginative!? His daring escape sounds like it would be so interesting to read about! Usually people escape by tying old sheets together... I think it's such a neat twist that Grandpa used something funnier that that! Maybe you could add a photo of you reading Grandpa's Great Escape, so that we could see the cover as well. Photos always capture attention in blog posts. I can't wait to see what you read next!
