Fungi Hunting

 Today My sister and brother and I went fungi hunting down the bank. We found six different spieces of fungi. We collected the fungi in a container and carried them back to the house. 

When  we had washed our hads and put plastic bags on them ( because we didn't have gloves) we set to work on trying to find out what sort of fungi they were.We used books to find out their identification.

Senior Bike Ride - slow writing

On the 18th and 19th of Febuary we went on a 50km bike ride. We stayed a night in tents at a woolshed then on the second day we biked out to the main road where our parents were waiting for us.

Awa Poems

On Wednesday 3rd of March we read a poem called Awa. Then, using the same format as the poem we wrote our own verses to create our own poem.

Profile 2021

Hi I’m Isabel, I live on a farm with my brother, sister ,mother and father. I go to Matawai school and like to read, write and do math. I also like exploring, swimming and farming.

I am good at math,I enjoy reading as well as art and P.E. Things that challenge me are all different parts of maths such as fractions and decimals. My goal is to persevere even when times are hard.

I am looking forward to the senior bike ride and the room 4 camp. The person who inspires me is my father. I would love to have great  farming skills like him in the future.

Would You Rather...

 Today we were writing would you rather questions. We had to write at least five questions and then pick our favourite statement and insert it onto a slide.

The Meeting House

I chose to change the colour of the hair on the the person facing away from us to a redish brownish colour to  forma more rustic feel.  I also changed the backround colour to orange and yellow to because I imagine the setting being in Africa.

Ag Day 2020

 Ag Day!                            

The Pets!

There were dogs, lambs!  

Goats, even a possum!

This was shambles and the 

Big muddles and puddles of

Pets day.

The big lambs the small lambs,

And the very oversize lambs!

The big dogs, the small dogs,

And I don’t think there were any

Oversize dogs…

Then it was the dress up comp,

Look at all the costumes!

Fairy wings, tuxedoes!

I dressed up as Hickory Dickory Dock.

The Lunch break, the brunch break,

The everyones favourite time break.

(even the lambs).

 Ahh...

There was the farmers challenge all

Lined up in a row,

I wonder what job I’ll get,

It was drawing a dog out of shaving foam!

Yep,

 Well that was Ag day, a fun day, 

But now I’m a tuckered out day!
